NRA Open Conventional
Pistol Sectional
Date/Time:
These matches are held each
year in March. Check the calendar
for exact dates. First relay starts
at 8:00 AM; each subsequent relay approximately 1½ hours later until
completion.
Entries:
Limited to 60 competitors. Post entries accepted to range capacity, provided
extra relays are not required. All competitors must check with the Statistical
Officer prior to firing to draw Targets and complete the NRA Sectional Score
Card. Pre-paid competitors have priority.
Squadding: All matches
will be squadded. Team members will fire their Team
Match immediately upon completion of firing their individual aggregate.

Eligibility: All
competitors must be NRA members to compete for NRA National Records and Awards.
NOTE: A competitor may
compete for score in only one NRA Conventional Pistol Sectional per year
or risk disqualification.
Fees: Entry fee must accompany match entry, along
with the enclosed NRA SR-1 card. Indicate relay and time, along
with a contact telephone number on the SR-1 card. If I can not accommodate your

Schedule: All firing will be at 50’ with a caliber .22 pistol
Match 1 – Individual
20 shot slow fire.
Match 2 – Individual
30 s course (NMC)
Match 3 – Individual
20 shot timed fire
Match 4 – Individual
20 shot rapid fire
Match 5 – National
Indoor Sectional Championship
Match 6 – National
Sectional Team Championship (30 s NMC for all 4 team members)
Match 7 – NRA
National Individual Gallery Pistol Championship (scores from Match 5 are used)
Match 8 – NRA
National Gallery Pistol Team Championship (scores from Match 6 are used)
Team Entries:
Must be made by the Team
Captain to the Statistical Office prior to firing the Team Match to draw
targets. Team matches will be fired after the last relay at approximately 3:00
to 3:30 PM.
Classification: NRA classification will be
used. Unclassified competitors will fire in the High Master class unless there
are enough (3 or more) to form a class
Firing Procedure: Scoring will
be after 10 shots by the competitor, with all fired targets turned in to
the Range Officer after firing. The complete 900 point individual gallery
aggregate will be completed before relays are changed or the Team Match
started.
Awards: NRA will furnish awards
Score Cards: A special NRA Sectional
Registration and Score Card will be used and must be completed and signed by
the competitor and turned in to the Statistical Office to be eligible for
national ranking and awards
Accommodations: All of the major motel/hotel
chains are represented on I-40 within a few minutes of the range
